We should be seeing the Sony Xperia Z soon enough as the official
announcement of the device is expected to be part of CES, which begins
next week, but that doesn't mean we're going to turn away when some
leaked images come around. The newest leaked images come from the
website ePrice, and seem to show off some marketing images that
breakdown the frame and camera construction of the device.
The
images show a splitscreen comparison of the HDR function on the camera
and the regular image quality. This is a nice way to show off HDR, but
it doesn't help in making the standard image look all that great. But,
the new Exmor RS image sensor and lens is expected to be a one of the
best features of the Xperia Z, promising solid low-light performance and
the ability to record HDR video.
The images
also show off the so-called "skeleton frame" of the phone, which is
intended to make the device sturdy, thin, and even dust and water
resistant.
Now, it's just a matter of seeing what the UI looks like before we get too excited here.
